The necessary fishing licence can be purchased from the tourist information office in Val di Tures for about €35. Don’t forget a valid passport or identity card! This fishing licence is valid for a period of 10 years.
But before the fishing fun starts, you still need to buy a day ticket which costs between €25 and €40. Fishing is allowed between 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Only artificial bait, water insects and flies are allowed and no more than three pieces of bait are allowed on a fly line at any one time. Triplets are prohibited. All catches must be noted down on the day ticket. Once the permitted number of fish has been reached, you must not continue to fish.
PS: Head chef Silvano from the Hotel Alte Mühle is an enthusiastic fisherman. He knows what he’s doing. He can give you some useful tips and tricks. Good catch!

Rod in the water, wait, fish out the water
The Valli di Tures e Aurina is a miniature paradise for fly fishers with some very interesting areas. Whether you see it is a unique experience during your summer holidays or as a professional leisure activity – it certainly is fun! Lake Meggima in Selva dei Molini is well known for fishing with dry flies. But before you start casting your rod, you need a little information. First off: an Italian fishing licence is a must.
